Cookie Policy

This policy explains how cookies and similar technologies (local storage, pixels, beacons) are used in the Etkin.app application (app.etkin.app) and on the etkin.app promotional website. The general framework for the processing of personal data is set out in the Privacy Policy and KVKK Information Notice (KVKK: Turkish Personal Data Protection Law No. 6698).
1. What is a cookie and why is it used?
Cookies are small text files that a website you visit stores on your device through your browser. They are used for purposes such as keeping you signed in, ensuring security, remembering your language and theme preferences and measuring how the site is used.
Etkin.app also uses browser local storage (localStorage), which serves the same function as a cookie; for example, your analytics consent preference is also kept there. In this policy, the term “cookie” covers all of these technologies.
2. Strictly necessary cookies
These are required for the service to work; they do not require explicit consent and cannot be disabled. If they are blocked, core functions such as signing in, maintaining your session and submitting forms will not work.

3. Analytics cookies (only with your consent)
Analytics tools are loaded ONLY when you click “Accept” in the cookie notice. If you reject, these tools are never started and any measurement cookies left in your browser are cleared.

4. Third-party services
- Payment: when you switch to a paid plan or pay for a ticketed event, the payment institution (PayTR) may place its own security and fraud-prevention cookies. Card details are not held by Etkin.
- Infrastructure and security: Cloudflare may place technical cookies for bot and attack filtering. These cookies are strictly necessary in nature and serve no measurement purpose.
- Fonts are hosted on Etkin’s server; your IP address is not transferred to third-party font networks.
- Embedded content (video, maps, etc.) that organizations add to event descriptions may bring the cookies of the respective provider; such content is the responsibility of the organization concerned.
5. Managing your cookie preferences
- You can accept or reject analytics cookies from the cookie notice shown at the bottom of the page. Your preference is kept for 365 days.
- If you want to change your decision later, simply clear your browser’s site data (cookies and local storage); the notice will be shown again.
- In your browser settings you can delete or block all cookies and turn off third-party cookies. If strictly necessary cookies are blocked, sign-in and registration functions will not work.
- Your browser sending a “Do Not Track” signal does not by itself prevent analytics tools from loading; the decision you make in the cookie notice is what counts.
6. Data processed through cookies and your rights
Data processed through analytics cookies (IP address, browser and device information, pages visited) may be considered personal data under KVKK No. 6698. The processing of this data is based on your explicit consent, and you may withdraw your consent at any time.
To exercise your rights under Article 11 of the KVKK, you can write to info@etkin.app. Applications are answered within 30 days at the latest.
7. Changes
This policy is updated as the tools used change. The current version is always published on this page; you can track changes from the “last updated” date at the top of the page.
