Create an event
Fill in the form above and press Publish event to set your event up. You do not need an account first: the moment you verify the code sent to your email, your organization and your first event are created together and land straight in your dashboard.
Which fields are required on this screen?
Three fields are enough to publish; you can change everything else later from the dashboard.
- Event name — at least 3 characters. This is the most read part of your registration page.
- Location — at least 2 characters; a physical address or an online link.
- Description — at least 10 characters.
The date and time are picked from a calendar. Capacity and price default to free and 35 people; Advanced options lets you change both. The cover image and whether the event is public are set on the same screen.
Who can see the event?
Visibility is chosen on the same screen and can be changed later. There are three options:
- Public — anyone can see it and register.
- Anyone with the link — only people who have the link can reach it; it does not show up in search engines or listings.
- Private — it stays under your management only.
What does “Publish event” ask you for?
If you do not have an account yet, the publish step asks four short questions; they all happen in a single window, and the event details you entered are not lost.
- Organization name — the institution, association or community the event is organized under.
- Your email address — the verification code is sent here.
- The code you receive — you enter the code from your email.
- First name, last name and password — your account is created at this step.
Your organization and your event are then created together; as soon as it is done, you go straight to the dashboard.
What happens after you publish?
- A public registration page goes live; you share its link on social media, by email or on a poster.
- Everyone who registers gets their own QR code; scanning it at the door records attendance and blocks duplicate entries.
- Registrations land in a single dashboard, and once capacity fills up, registration closes by itself or moves to a waiting list.
What does “Start without signing up” mean?
You do not need an account to fill in this screen. You enter the event details and hit publish; the account is created at exactly that moment, through email verification. That way you never have to fill in a sign-up form before seeing the product. If you already have an account, the same flow takes you straight to the dashboard.
Frequently asked questions
- Do I need an account to create an event?
- No. You define the event on this screen; the account is created only at the moment you publish, when you verify the code sent to your email. No card details are asked for.
- Does creating an event cost anything?
- No. On the free plan you create an event, collect registrations and check people in with QR codes without entering any card details. The free plan is not a time-limited trial but a permanent plan; it does have attendee and message limits.
- Can I change the event after publishing?
- Yes. Everything can be edited from the dashboard, including the name, date, venue, capacity, form fields and image.
- What should I do if the email code does not arrive?
- Check your inbox and your spam folder. Once the countdown on screen ends, you can send the code again.
- What is the difference between this page and the event creation guide on etkin.app?
- This page is the tool itself; you create the event right here. The step-by-step walkthrough of creating an event, what to settle up front and how it compares with WhatsApp, Facebook or ticketing sites is at etkin.app/etkinlik-olusturma/.
